  5. Good post Nerak and thanks for following up on this story. The Bigheart Times ranks on this one. When you get to the article mentioned in Nerak's post, Osage chief releases long awaited pipeline consultant contract click on the words check register and Hartness contract to see copies of these documents. Be sure to take a look at the article in the Osage News, Enbridge pipeline to bring nearly 200 jobs to Osage County>> http://osagenews.org/article/enbridge-pipeline-bring-nearly-200-jobs-osage-county It looks to me like the roper just might be roping them in and for all of the controversy, if he manages to help make the opportunity for gainful employment available to Osages and gets the Union to open its ranks to them, my hat's off to him. Now this is a lot more than the Osage, LLC has ever done to put Osages to work in Osage County or Oklahoma. Some time back I read that their subsidiary, Manhattan Builders, headed up by that Carol Leese that is supposed to be building out the Casino projects, is or was advertising for others to come in and do work for them>> http://osagenews.org/article/osage-manhattan-builders-seeks-bids-osage-casino-skiatook-and-ponca-city-projects-0 So what do they do exactly? Oversee two construction jobs Leese knows nothing about and take a fat cut for it? I thought the Chief had some sort of consulting company too. So how much will they take? It looks like to me that these jobs are going to cost the Osage People a whole lot more than they should>> http://www.sq1pm.com/projects/8

  7. The Motion for a Select Committee of Inquiry, brought by Congressman Kugee Supernaw along with the charges read out against Principal Chief John D. Red Eagle on the floor of the Osage Nation Congress, has been seconded by Congressman Daniel Boone. The members will vote tomorrow to see if the Congress approves investigating the allegations. Be certain to listen to this historic day of the 6th Special Session of the Third Congress when it is posted to the Audio/Video Archive web page at http://www.osagetribe.com/main_view_video.aspx

    2. NEW! The official copy of the Motion for a Select Committee of Inquiry that was read out in the Special Session today by Congressman Kugee Supernaw is available for immediate download at http://app6.websitetonight.com/projects/1/2/1/5/1215402/uploads/Motion_for_Select_Committee_of_Inquiry.pdf PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ ALL OF IT. It includes the fifteen (15) allegations against Chief John D. Red Eagle that warrant an investigation on behalf of the Osage people to be initiated by the Osage Congress if the vote is successful tomorrow in the Congressional Special Session beginning at 10:00 A.M. It is our belief and absolute conviction at OPEN that the Osage people deserve, at the very least, that these serious allegations be subject to an investigation and that the Select Committee of Inquiry be formed for that purpose. Please take the time to listen to the first day of the 6th Special Session that is now up and listed as SS10-day at http://www.osagetribe.com/main_view_video.aspx

    4. Me thinks having a committee is redundant. The charges will stand on their own merit with witness and all. Just a waste of time and money. In addition there's more to this. The Gavel has yet to hit the desk. Did we not predict this type of behavior from someone who lies behind the pulpit of truth and bring disgrace to our name. And when you see the Chief he may be old but it is obvious he was not here for the Osage. This Chief will go down in history on a sour note. Man, this guy when you read his body language as he sits all slouched and over fed with grandiose in his own mind will walk the line of shame.....Sad how I see him. But he puts it out there for everyone to see......And question where did he get this sense of entitlement? Was this behaviour taught by former Chiefs?

  8. Wow. They actually voted to get the SCoI off the ground. I wonder who the Judge will choose to be on the investigating committee.

    1. Right I say the same thing. Will these people that will be selected from this committee be inpartial, fair and just. Everyone knows the Chief.

    2. I agree too and wonder who they will get especially when the Judges seem to see the side of the Executive. It starts there from the Osage Supreme Court and who the head judge will pick. This is hyper serious and I hope the judge is up to it.

    3. Right I've noticed but whos getting paid on the low down is coming out slowly but surely. And what comes of this investigation has yet to be revealed. This indeed will be a eye opener.

    4. More on this fast moving story... The Congressional Select Committee of Inquiry to evaluate the allegations brought against the Chief has been chosen by Supreme Court Justice Meredith Drent. The members of the Congress that will sit on this Committee are Alice Buffalohead, John Jech, Archie Mason, Maria Whitehorn and Speaker Raymond Red Corn. It has come to light that this Committee will "meet in the dark" in Executive Session according to the Congressional Rules that can be changed by the Congress. The U.S. Congress held open hearings in the cases of both President Nixon and Clinton and the Osage people should be paid no less deference by our elected representatives in the Osage Nation Congress. These proceedings should be OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND BROADCAST ONLINE. We should have the right to weigh in on these proceedings and contact our members of Congress to let them know how we wish to be represented when the evidence and facts are placed before all of us. EVERY ONE OF THE SELECT COMMITTEES OF THE OSAGE NATION meet OPENLY and are subject to the Osage Nation Open Meetings Law. They are also broadcast to the Osage people and there is no reason why we should be subject to being kept out of the loop on matters involving allegations against the Chief of this level of legal importance. In addition, the Osage Nation Attorney General has filed an amended ethics complaint with the Osage Nation Court to bring an additional allegation against the Chief. More on this will be forthcoming. The two court cases involving the Osage News and the ethics allegations brought by the AG against the Chief will be heard on August 8, 2013. See the article, Osage News v. Chief Red Eagle case to resume Aug. 8 at http://osagenews.org/article/osage-news-v-chief-red-eagle-case-resume-aug-8
